Dyi cage

It looks great :-) And I spy the cute hammy. Hope you don't mind me pointing out the little ladders - ladders with gaps in like that can be difficult for hamsters to use - their legs can slip through the gaps or they don't feel comfortable climbing up them. One option would be to just stick a piece of wood or cardboard at the back of them so then they're just rungs on a flat surface.

Oh I didn’t know. So for now do I stick the cardboard to the two circles in the back or in front of the two circles

Sorry I'm not sure what you mean by the circles :-) Do you mean the beaded parts? If the beaded parts protrude more than the rungs then it might not work sticking something to them :-) Basically they do better with solid ramps or steps. I'm wondering if the steps out of the sand bath might be a little bit steep as well - or you could maybe put more sand in so it's not so steep?

Something like these bendy bridges might make better ramps instead of the ladders :-) Or if you like the natural look you can get the bark wood bendy bridges, but they can have gaps sometimes so check for those and stuff the gaps with paper or moss to make them safer (avoids a foot getting caught) :)

Coloured bendy stick bridge.

Yes i meant the beads. :) I have an order of bendy bridges coming in any day now.

Yes I didn’t like the way the sand bath was looking. My sand got wet I’m going to cook some tomorrow to add more.

There’s also coco fibres brick currently in water to soften up that will be in the cage.
