My dear old lady Hammie has passed away.
I found her yesterday afternoon around 2:00 p.m. I have a camera in her enclosure and the last images are from the night before at 11:00 p.m. She must have passed away sometime in between.
It had been coming for a while; she had been declining for some time, no longer using her wheel, drinking a lot, and urinating frequently lately. In recent weeks, she had been having more and more trouble walking; she was unsteady and had stiff legs.
We don't know her exact age, but looking at when we bought her and her age at the time, she turned 3 years old in January of this year.
Rest in peace, dear old lady, you are already missed.
I added pictures from the young and the old Hammie
