Always great to see more of her, she's as adorable as ever. How have the monkey barring been? Finally got it out of her system?

The monkey barring has slowed a lot but today when I saw her up and about and put my hand in (which means opening the large door on the lid) she decided to shin up the bars and climb out onto the roof of the cage!

I gently lifted her back into the cage (nearly feinting with joy at the feeling of this solid soft little hamster in my hand) at which point she was eagerly shimmying up the bars again no doubt hoping for another glimpse of the exciting world beyond her cage!

She really is curious and always comes over when she hears me talking. I really must get some kind of spacious play pen set up somewhere that Rusty dog cannot reach.

Her wish is my command. I have made her a small storage box playpen.

She explored it so fast that most of the pictures are blurred. I did take a video but don't know how to put one onto youtube and link it to the forum.

I bet she loved that! She seems like a typical female dwarf - energetic and wanting out ha ha. I love the one where she's running up your arm. Mine used to do that to try and escape If you have a spare wheel you could maybe have that in the play bin too? That'll keep her busy

For youtube videos, you need a youtube account, then just upload the video. Once it's finished uploading you click right until you get to the last page where it gives you the option to choose, public, unlisted or private. Don't choose private or it doesn't show up at all on the forum. Unlisted means it shows up wherever you paste the link (eg on here). But doesn't show up on youtube itself. Public means it shows up on youtube and also wherever you paste the link.

Once it's uploaded you look in your account and open the video to play it. Once it's playing, you select and copy the web address bar at the top and paste that link on here?

She asked to come out again by climbing up her little front door that I let her out of last time. I was so eager to get her into the pen that I didn't get my phone first.

She does like that reddish colour spray. She had a right old munching session just before I opened the door to offer her the taxi tube.

She whizzed around as before and almost got out! She is just so lively which I admire.

Once she was back in the cage she had a good long stare at me (I was telling her how beautiful she is) then went off for a refreshing drink of water.

Aw she's starting her out of cage routine I bet she wants out every day! I'm guessing the red spray she loves is red sorghum? Or red millet? Or is it something else? Sounds like she'll be needing a bigger play area! It's wonderful she is so interactive.

The red spary is red sorghum. She ignored them all at first but now takes a keen interest which is great. Yes she does need a much bigger and secure playpen. The irony is that I had nine hamster cages at one time and now I only have this one!!!

I am hoping that a second hand one comes up locally. She needs to be in a secure play pen due to Rusty dog. He is fascinated by her.
