Ours has just got expensive I lost two gift vouchers. Bought as gifts for others. OH turned both wheely bins out and went through all the envelopes in them and still couldn't find them. So I had to buy two more ...............

Ouch, I hope they turn up. Probably in a pocket somewhere in the wash or put down somewhere and not picked up again

They were in a cardboard envelope (an Amazon one) carefully put in a neat pile with various other things - back in November - everything else is there except the envelope!

I am convinced an envelope must have fallen off the pile and thrown away as rubbish when I did a big tidy up .......... But they're not in the wheely bins - so maybe the big tidy up was over two weeks ago - I can't remember! Maybe someone will scavenge in a rubbish tip and find them and that's my good deed for Christmas (ouch)!

I agree - I know where everything is then! However it was untidiness that probably meant the envelope ended up in a pile of rubbish It's also a reason not to buy too early- I was being organised and got them early November - more time for something to get lost.

One Christmas, my ex spent a fortune on eBay to buy Edgar the Dragon(the must have John Lewis toy) as a Christmas present for the dog. It was delivered in a shoe box. When I came to wrap it, I couldn’t find it. My ex had had a clear out, and I can only conclude that it had ended up in the recycling bin! He really wanted it for the dog, so bought another, even more expensive one on eBay!! The really bonkers thing was that the dog had gone blind and couldn’t see it to play with it Edgar did make quite a good cushion for him as he had quite a big, soft belly.

Exactly - storing things in old Amazon envelopes and shoe boxes maybe isn't a good idea ha ha. I can't tell you how much I spent on lego minifigures when stepson wanted a Star Wars "army"!

I remember Edgar He was cute. Glad he found a use in the end. I would throw things out accidentally all the time, but I am obsessively tidy, perhaps because I can't remember where I put things ever. I search for my keys with them in my pocket Lego, what a wonderful toy. I still remember my Lego helicopter and how find I was of it. What a marvelous toy
