I have had the same thing with a cream hamster on a light beige carpet :)

Bernard must have grown. I watched him drink from his bowl with his feet flat on the ground and no longer on tip toes.

That's great news because it tells me that he must have been a young one when i rescued him.

That is wonderful! I noticed he looked like he had grown and filled out too. :)

Aww he is loving that! With his colouring it looks like he has a hair style.

He has definitely grown! It's hard to tell. I suspect he was young.

He has definitely grown! He probably was young then - but it's hard to tell sometimes. I thought (and still do) that Raffy must have still been a baby when he came to me and was so small and only weighed 97g. The rescue were adamant he wasn't a baby and they felt his growth was him thriving. I am still not sure - he may have only been about 3 months old perhaps, which is still a baby to me. Assuming he had a home from age 6 weeks - was there for a bit, then in the rescue for a bit.

I am sure there is a "failure to thrive" thing with hamsters, as there is with humans - if they are in a bad living situation.

Cute little Bernard, he certainly wasn’t going to give up with his walnut 😄

I had a foster Robo once with a similar pattern who was called Wig.
That reminded me of "Wiggy" - a comedy character with a funny wig :)

Aww! That is the cutest video. I now know what a robo looks like when they are tunnelling. Bernard is so cute!

I think he was looking for something, couldn't find it and then trotted off to his nest. He sleeps in his house which is on the other side. If i remember right, he can access his house from three sides. It's subterranean.

Yes, I’d say he may have dropped something and was looking for it, bless him, in amongst all the digging around it’s probably even more buried now but hopefully he’ll sniff it out later.

Bernard was funny tonight. He vacuumed the seeds off my hand and then kept pulling at my sleeve. He climbed up my sleeve a bit as well.

Bernard's coconut half hide had sunk so the entrance had disappeared and the grapevine on top wouldn't have helped matters.

I retrieved the coconut and decided to remove the grapevine.

Hmm, next time i looked, Bernard was on top of the coconut looking for the grapevine so i put it back in.

Note to self:
'Beryl, leave the hamsters things alone'
