Are my robodwarf dwarf hamster's testicles concerning?

Hello, I am fairly new to owning hamsters. My robo dwarf hamster's testicles appear quite large. I am not sure if this is normal. I haven't noticed any behavioral changes. Is he okay?

Hello and welcome How old is he? They do look a bit large and presumably they've started looking larger for you to notice? It's a bit difficult to tell from the photos. On the second photo they don't look too bad but on the first one they look enlarged. I'll wait to hear how old he is.

Thanks for the reply. He is about 9 months to a year old. They have been looking like that for about a month or so. It's kind of weird because they do only look big like that from the top view.

He's not that old then. I'm wondering if he's had some fur loss at his back end and that's why they look like they protrude more. I think it would be a good idea to have a vet visit and have him checked out. Just to see if his testicles are retracting ok and if he has any fur loss. My last robo, when he was older, had some fur loss at the back and and it did make his testicles more visible, and also made his back legs seem longer as they were more visible.

Fur loss could be just ageing beginning or might be something else. On that first photo though, they do seem to be hanging down and a bit enlarged.

I would get him checked out.
