Is that spot with the flamingo and camel on a bed? I don't remember where that was, but he is just way too cute with those guarding him

It's the back of the sofa. Albert climbs the cushions to get up there.

I'm using an old thick fleece scarf to keep Albert warm.

I made some toast for Albert and me. I've not seen Albert since. I'm imagining Albert down in his borrow, munching on toast and all snug with the scarf round

This morning I sat watching Albert in his dig box looking for seeds. I was talking to him and every now and then he would look at me as if to acknowledge what I was saying. Albert then sat in his coconut hide munching on the seeds he had found. Albert then collected some bedding and came to the front of the cage. He looked straight at me and winked He then ran to his nest with his bedding. It's not the first time Albert has winked at me but it's the first time he's purposely come to the front of his cage to do so. I was so shocked I forgot to wink back.

Wow that is so sweet and amazing! What a compliment Albert winked at you. That really is so cute. I love the way he looks at you to acknowledge you speaking to him.

That just made me laugh! I can picture Albert there at the front of the cage winking at you, what a picture he’s such a sweet communicative little ham.

I'm not sure
I did have the cage door open but he obviously wasn't interested in coming out so maybe it was a "see you later" wink.

I love when they are so overjoyed with a treat they just have to hide it immediately. I can only imagine that toast was gone in one sitting. Albert is so cute, I didn't know he winked at you! What a little smartie

Been to Sainsbury's to get few bits and noticed they sell brown linseeds. I've never come across them before. I picked up a bag for Albert.
Hubby: why are you buying brown linseeds?
Me: for Albert. To keep his fur nice. Some owners give them to hamsters to encourage hair growth on bold patches etc.
Hubby: get another bag. I'll give them a go for my bold patch.

Albert: at least if the linseeds works on the hubby I'll have more hair to work with. It's difficult to work with only half a head of hair even for an accomplished hairdresser like me

Actually my OH has ground linseeds on his breakfast for that very reason (didn't seem to work as well on humans as hamsters!)
