After spending 3 months in a 90x45 enclosure, Stig has finally been moved into his Bucastate 3.0 120cm!

I’ve moved over everything but the wheel from his old enclosure. He has most of the bedding, but unfortunately a lot of it was damp and some had mould so I couldn’t safely transfer it.

He’s currently very stressed out and frantically digging. I will leave him alone for a few days to calm down.

It's very nice - he's a lucky boy. I hope he settles in soon.

His scared little noises are so sad.😔 He is starting to calm down since I recorded this though.

I couldn't hear any noises, but he does seem to be having a good dig and sorting himself out in there. It is a big change for them.

I think you have to turn the sound up really high. I thought at first it was one of my guinea pigs with something stuck in their nose.

Thank you for all your help over the last few months.

He maybe is a bit upset if he's making noises. Tino was like that when I had to dig him out to move him to a new cage. He was fine in the new cage but he was making squeaking noises because I was disturbing him while he was sleeping. He sounded more annoyed than upset. I'm sure he'll be fine in 2 or 3 days when he's got his bearings and made himself at home. Just give him lots of treats to distract him :-) I hide them in different parts of the cage.

I can hear it, it's sounds like he's crying. Hamsters are rather emotional little animals.

He does sound cross. I think you are getting a scolding. It's a great cage though and in due course he should be happy in his new home 🏡

I turned my sound right up and I can hear him digging and knocking against the wood and some snuffling and that's about it! Must be my hearing!
