A week with Socks and Socks Mom

Hi all, I'm Socks
Mom: and this is Mom
Let's start with a picture of me. I'm a bit of an older hammy now. I had some sleep in my eye.
Mom: but I'm glad to say it was gone later when Socks got up proper (1am and 4am) He grabs a bit of supper at about 7pm and goes off back to bed. Here he is in his veggies bowl. He always pouches his veggies sitting in his bowl
Mom got up at 4am for half an hour so I could have a proper run around the playpen. During the day, the gin gins (guinea pigs) use the pen while Mom cleans their cages or just cuddles them.
Mom: I'm on holiday this week and next week

Hungry fish. Mamma Cat has a tantrum because I disturbed her breakfast and zooms about followed by her adoring suitors. The other fish are in orderly file In this tank the males are colourful, but the ladies are biggest. Mrs Gourami, the honey gourami is paler than her three suitors and much bigger, as is Mamma Cat the Peppered Cory. She lays eggs regularly on the glass and leads the way at breakfast and dinner, breaking up the sinking pellets so that everyone can have some It is a very harmonious tank and everyone gets on well

Mom went off and bought an Amazon Fire 8. I hope she will be so busy playing with it she will forget to clean my cage this evening. Well to start with she can't find the emoticon for fingers crossed and the complete the sentence options are rather limited

Is that a firestick or a tablet?

It's a tablet, 2024 release. I thought of getting a chromebook, but really for my purposes, a tablet is as good and only cost £69.

I'm not sure if it will load the YouTube ap, and BBC Sounds is a bit uncertain. It seems quick enough. Downloaded documents end up in the Kindle ap, although I hadn't taken out a subscription. The ads come up now and then, but it doesn't seen too bad. Maybe it's just waiting for me to drop my guard

Good morning
It's a stay at home day today, but what perfect weather here in London!

My first picture on the Amazon Fire, sunrise today. Hmm, it's taking a while to load. I'm so used to my phone, it's very difficult to switch. I know more or less what to expect from the Motorola. I might have to come back to the sunrise as it's s tick on 0% . Also there are no socks on my emoticons on this device.

Sunny window box. Mainly snacks for my pets and some flowering borage, which they all love, flowers and all, even though they are spiky plants

Socks: Mom heard my wheel going this morning at 4am and got up for play pen time. Mom is the greatest
Mom:
Mom needs a hair cut so she will be sourcing a hair dresser tomorrow
Last night she cleaned the aquarium. The fish are looking lively and active.

Male guppies like to show off their colourful trailing fins so are always happy to pose for a photograph
