Hi everyone! I’m 60 years old and recently welcomed a 'Teddy Bear' (long-haired Syrian) hamster into my life. I had many hamsters growing up—at one point, we had 56! My mom adored them as much as I did.
I’m learning so much this time around that I never knew as a kid. Without the internet back then, information wasn't as accessible. I’m now realizing they need much larger habitats, and that cottage cheese for breakfast probably wasn't the best idea!
My new little guy is named Benjamin (a biblical name meaning 'favorite child'). His Bucatstate 3.0 cage arrives today, and I’m so excited to set it up. I look forward to connecting with you all and learning more along the way.
